Look, I'm just going to put it out there...I absolutely hate shopping for jeans! I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's so frustrating trying to find the right pair, especially when they need to be a certain colour, cut and style! In my case, I needed a specific type of jeans for work.
My checklist to find the perfect jeans:
1. Black (jeans that preferably won't fade)
2. Skinny Jeans
3. Stretchy (as stretchy as possible without being leggings)
4. Mid-rise (high waisted jeans were going to be too uncomfortable to move around/act in all day and low rise....i don't want a muffin top)
5. Preferably crop (I have short legs and I don't want a pair of jeans that could double up as shoes and they also need to be tight around the ankles)
6. Look good and comfortable (some jean brands look great on, some don't)
Yes, quite a specific list, but hey! Surely I can find a pair of black skinny, mid-rise, cropped jean, that are quite stretchy and don't make women's legs look like dumplings? WRONG.
After a few* shopping trips, I stumbled across a pair of Ksubi jeans; they were black, cropped (were kind of tight around the ankles), mid-rise, stretchy and looked pretty good! KA-CHING! Bought them.
* many
However, when you have to perform in jeans for 9 hours a day in the middle of an Australian Summer, they need to be washed regularly. Therefore, they fade, no matter how much black wash liquid you use or how many times you put them in the freezer.
Shopping time, again!
Shopping time, again!
I decided against another pair of Ksubi jeans, so I looked everywhere, AGAIN.
FINALLY, I FOUND THE PERFECT JEANS. And I feel so stupid for not thinking of them in the first place.
*drum roll please*
Country Road's 'Mid Rise Jegging'
They are amazing and I have to say, look amazing!
They are stretchy, comfortable and are perfect for those who need to be able to move a lot.
I have a few pairs of Country Road jeans and I have no complaints and I doubt I'll have any complaints about these! They are also reasonably priced at $99.95. The jeggings also come in other colours, if you aren't interesting in Black.
GO AND PURCHASE! You won't regret it.
